Motor workers’ 24-hr strike from Wednesday midnight

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: All India motor workers will hold 24-hr strike from Wednesday midnight, demanding withdrawal of Road Transport and Safety Bill to be introduced in Parliament. The strike will be held under the aegis of Trade Union Samyuktha Samra Samithi. 

Samithi has informed that the KSRTC buses, auto rickshaw, taxi, tempo, trucker, lorry mini lorry and private bus will stay off the road. However, private vehicles, milk transport, paper services, vehicles for hospital/wedding purposes will be excluded from the strike. 

Organisations such as ITU, AITUC, INTUC, BMS, UTUC, HMS, STU, KTUC will take part in the strike.
