UDF neglected us, new alliances needed, says JD (U)

KOZHIKODE: In the present political scenario, new alliances and political attitudes are needed, said JD (U) state president M P Veerendra Kumar. Talking to the media after a meeting of district presidents and office bearers of feeder organizations held soon after the merging of the Socialist Janata with the JD (U), he said the political stand of the party in the state will be decided after holding talks with the national leadership.

The UDF severely neglected the JD (U). He demanded to release the report of the UDF sub-panel regarding his defeat in Palakkad constituency. The RSP, who left the LDF during the Lok Sabha polls, was given the congress’ sitting seat. The seat offered to us was a seat unwanted by the congress.  Though the Vadakara seat was claimed, they were against it. The LDF would have continued in power if the JD (U) had not left the Front. The UDF accepted different kinds of justice to the RSP and the JD (U), he said.

Personal opinions should not be considered in revealing the report on the Palakkad defeat. The UDF has the responsibility to publicize it. Strict action should be taken against the guilty, he said.
