KOCHI: Former chief whip P C George filed a plea against Finance Minister K M Mani in the Kerala High Court. The plea cited bearing ministerial berth post and the chairman post of the Kerala Congress (Mani) party together is against constitution. The plea alleged that Mani concealed this before the commission while filing nomination papers.
George’s plea also stated that there is a lot of difference in the details given to the election commission and the present situation. As per the details given to the election commission, a person cannot bear together the party chairman post and the ministerial berth. There is also a change in other party posts. Bearing posts like this has violated the assurances given to the election omission.
