Native of Alappuzha goes missing in Nepal

ALAPPUZHA: One more Malayali has gone missing in the quake-hit Nepal. The missing person is Sarath from Alappuzha and the search is on to trace him. Meanwhile six persons from Kasargod are reportedly stranded in a place called Thattoppani. The rescue workers are conducting search for them also.

The bodies of doctors who died in Nepal – Dr Irshad, son of Shamshuddin from Kasargod  and Dr Deepak Thomas, son of Thomas Kalappurakkal from Kannur Kelakam will reach Kerala by night. Their bodies are now kept in mortuary at Kathmandu hospital. By noon, they will be embalmed after post-mortem and flown to New Delhi. From Delhi, bodies will be flown to Karipur or Mangalapuram airport.    

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has said the government will bear the treatment expense of Abhiman Soory. Earlier, Chandy had talked to Soory.
