BJP demands Central intervention into political violence

KOZHIKODE: Flaying the attack on its Thiruvananthapuram office, Bharatiya Janata Party in Kerala Wednesday demanded Central intervention into the ''failure'' of law and order in the state.

Talking to reporters here, BJP state President Kummanam Rajasekharan said this was the first time that state committee office of a political party was being attacked by rivals.

He said BJP President Amit Shah had a talk with Governor Justice P Sathasivam on the law and order situation in the state.

Describing Pinarayi Vijayan the only Chief Minister, who had ''failed'' to bring peace in the state, he said even the highest functionary had not even bothered to condemn widespread violence taking place.
