NEW DELHI: Bollywood actress Vidya Balan has been adjudged the best actress award in the 59th national film awards announced here today. She bagged the award for her stunning performance in the Dirty Picture. Girish Kulkarni has won the best actor award for Marathi film Deool.


Renjith’s Indian Rupee is the best Malayalam feature film produced by August Films.  Sherry bagged special jury award for Adhimadhyantham.


Malayali director K P Suveeran’s Byari has been adjudged the best feature film.


‘I am’ wins best picture award and Ra.One wins award for special effects.
