Anoop Jacob should be disqualified, says LDF

PIRAVOM: The LDF on Sunday demanded that Anoop Jacob, the UDF candidate in Piravom, should be disqualified for producing a fake affidavit to the election commission. A private channel had reported that in the affidavit, Anoop had not mentioned anything about a case indicting him as the fifth accused. The police then had informed the court that he was an absconder in the case.


CPM leader E P Jayarajan requested the election commission to disqualify Anoop as he had violated rules by not including the full information. The LDF will lodge a complaint to the election commission, he said.
