CPM to announce candidate for Neyyatinkara by-poll soon

Monday, March 26, 2012: CPM will announce the name of its candidate soon for the upcoming Neyyatinkara Assembly by-poll, Party District Secretary Kadakampally Surendran said on Monday.
Addressing a press conference here, he claimed that ‘the CPM candidate will win by a margin of 25,000 votes. The Congress should not think that the success of Piravom by-poll will repeat in Neyyatinkara.’
The party took all the steps to defeat the Congress-led UDF in the constituency, he said, adding the voters would punish the Congress-led UDF for promoting horse-trading.
Surendran also denied the allegation raised by Selvaraj, former CPI (M) MLA who resigned from the State Assembly recently over intra-party fight, that he was targeted by quotation gangs.
