Final report against Arun Kumar to be submitted tomorrow

Wednesday, March 7, 2012: The final report of the Assembly committee inquiring into the allegations against VA Arun Kumar, that would be submitted on Thursday, will be devoid of any note of dissent.
In lines with the parliamentary procedures being followed till date, the majority would easily overrule the protest of the four LDF members in the nine-member assembly committee and their dissenting note would thereby go unregistered.
Though the CPM members in the committee sought more time to submit the final report, the committee chairman and the UDF members did not agree to this. It is learnt that the LDF wanted to delay the submission of the report as the Piravom by-poll is on March 17.
