Karmayogi, directed by V K Prakash, is an adaptation of William Shakespeare’s classic play Hamlet.Indrajith, Nithya Menen, Thalaivasal Vijay and yesteryear Bollywood heart throb Padmini Kolhapure include the film’s main cast.
“The film has been set in the lives of a group of Yogis, famous for their art form called ‘Kelipathram’, living in the northern part of Kerala. We have not specified any time frame here.
Indrajith is doing a double role as Rudran Gurukkal and also as his father. This is mainly a mind game and the Shakespearean tragedy’s intricate moments get a similar look here as well,” says scriptwriter Balram Mattannoor.
RD Rajasekhar is the cinematographer and Ouseppachan scores the music.
