K.M Mani to present State budget on Monday


Sunday, March 18, 2012: Finance Minister K. M. Mani will present the State Budget for the coming financial year in the Kerala Assembly at 9 a.m. on Monday.
With this, Mani will own the record of the first Kerala minister to present the maximum number of ten budgets in the Kerala Legislative Assembly.
The budget is expected to make up for the state’s poor showing in welfare and capital spending in the last decade. The capital expenditure is currently at Rs 3,800 crore.
Earlier, it was announced that the budget would be presented on March 9. The budget presentation has been shifted due to the announcement of Piravom by-poll.
