Wild elephants create panic in Chalakudy

Monday, March 5, 2012: Depredation by wild elephants in Malakaparaya area of Chalakudy is increasing day by day.
Herds of wild elephants damaged houses and paddy fields of the villagers , created panic in different villages.
Though local people tried to scare them away from the inhabited area, they were not successful.
The elephants left the scene after causing a huge damage to properties
