KALPATTA: Sultan Bathery constituency’s NDA candidate and Adivasi leader C K Janu received a death threat yesterday. She got the threat through a letter delivered at his Panavalli house. In the letter it is said that she will be killed if she contests from Sultan Bathery constituency.
“We have sent goons, who had killed Chandrasekharan at Onchiyam to Bathery Muthanga Gundalpetta surroundings. If we lose our votes, you and your family will be attacked,” said the letter prepared in the name of CPM Kodiyeri Tiger Force, Thalassery.
Meanwhile, BDJS District president N K Shaji has handed C K Janu’s complaint in this regard to police. It is also suspected whether the letter is a ploy to divert votes.
