MALAPPURAM: A gas tanker carrying liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) from Mangalore overturned at Randathani in the district early Thursday morning.
The driver of the tanker sustained injuries. There was no leakage from the tanker. Transportation on the national highway was disrupted following the incident. It is suspected that the accident is likely to have happened after the driver dozed off.
The police and fire force rushed to the spot and made sure that there was no gas leak. Efforts have started to shift the gas to another tanker.
