RSP gets Aroor and Attingal

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In the bilateral talks held, the congress has agreed to give two more seats to the RSP in the assembly polls. They decided to give the Aroor seat in Alappuzha and the Attingal seat in the capital city. Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, who is in Delhi, telephoned RSP state secretary A A Aziz and assured them of the seats. Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala and Aziz spoke to other leaders also.

With this, the RSP gets five seats. The Congress had earlier given Iravipuram, Chavara and Kunnathur seats. The RSP had announced their candidates in these three seats. There were reports that actor Siddique would be fielded from Aroor.
