Dr. B. Ashok to be removed from position of VC
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state cabinet meet has decided to remove IAS officer Dr. B. Ashok from the position of Vice Chancellor of Veterinary University for publishing an article in Kerala Kaumudi daily on April 24 about Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Sivagiri Mutt.
The decision taken by the previous cabinet meet will be conveyed to Kerala Governor who is also the Chancellor of the university. The Chief Secretary has been appointed for taking legal actions on this.
The cabinet meet held that Dr. B. Ashok violated all conditions laid by Governor, who is the Chancellor, for publishing any technical and literary works. Moreover, Ashok ridiculed political leaders and department heads in his article.
