State faction seeks action against VS

NEW DELHI: CPM state faction in the politburo sought disciplinary action against opposition leader V S Achuthanandan. The resolution was presented in the politburo by party state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan.

The resolution said VS is not cooperating with the party and is continuously violating party rules. He was not willing to abide by the party rules. It was also pointed out that he had made statements against the party secretary in a television channel.

He is always creating confusion in the party and is challenging the stand taken by the party. The resolution said such an approach by a senior leader like VS cannot be accepted. So, he should be removed from the post.
