Six-member panel to probe VS’ complaint

NEW DELHI: The CPM politburo decided to constitute a commission to probe the allegations raised by opposition leader V S Achuthanandan. The commission is likely to have party general secretary Prakash Karat, S Ramachandran Pillai, Sitaram Yechuri, A K Padmanabhan, Biman Bose and B V Raghavalu.

The politburo meet convened yesterday decided to appoint the commission. The panel will partake in the state committee and secretariat meetings. The panel by the politburo will examine the report of the P Karunakaran commission which put VS in the dock.
