Two Keralites drown in Dubai beach
DUBAI: Two Indian expatriate youths drowned while bathing in the sea near the Jumeirah Open Beach on Friday evening.
While the dead body of one of them has been found, the search for the body of the second person by the Coast Guard has been stopped due to the inclement weather.
According to sources in the Al Reyami Group, where the two missing employees were working, a group of five staffers, all from the South Indian state of Kerala, had gone to the Jumeirah beach on Friday evening.
Of the three who survived, one person was reported to be in a critical condition.
The dead person’s name was Rijesh Puthiyapurayil who worked as an accountant in Al Riyami’s head office. His body is now kept in the police morgue.
The missing person’s name was Shinil Puthiyapurayil, 26, who hails from Payyannur near Kannur and worked in the building materials division of Al Riyami Group.
