Pillai refuses post if son not made minister

KOLLAM: Kerala Congress (B) chairman R Balakrishna Pillai said that he will not accept the post of chairman of the Forward Communities Development Corporation unless his son K B Ganesh Kumar is made a minister.

I had earlier said that we don’t need it but our party deserves it, he said. The chairman post is not a big thing for me but the ministerial post is important for the party. I agreed to accept the post as the UDF leaders requested. This will not replace the ministerial post, he said.  

Nobody can question the morality of Ganesh. The problems between Ganesh and his wife Yamini Thankachy are over. Nobody should interfere in the internal affairs of anybody.

My opinion is to give KPCC chief Ramesh Chennithala the portfolio he demands, he added.
