The media organizations who conducted the exit poll results said, a close contest between major parties was visible in the state. So the difference between the winning front and opposition would be a wafer thin. Earlier, the confidential Intelligence Bureau report on Assembly polls had also cheered up the ruling front.
The pre poll studies done by independent organizations like PASC, support LDF. In 2006 Assembly elections LDF clenched 98 seats out of 140. This time they may emerge with 72 of the total seats and UDF with 68. The election results in 5 constituencies is expected to be a decisive factor, said the pre poll studies. They have also pointed out the crucial role of V S Achuthanandan, which is going to save LDF. The latest exit poll results show no deviation from these facts. So Kerala is anxiously waiting to hear the election results on May 13, which is expected to be a historic one.
