Anoop Jacob sworn in as MLA; UDF tally goes up to 72

 Thursday, March 22, 2012: Anoop Jacob, who won the Piravom by-poll defeating his nearest rival MJ Jacob of the LDF by a huge margin of 12070 votes, was on Thursday sworn-in as Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) in the Assembly.
Anoop, the newly elected member, took the oath of office before Speaker G Karthikeyan. The UDF tally in the 140 member state Assembly has gone up to 72 with the thumping victory of Anoop Jacob.
