Cracker unit blast in Kozhikode; death toll rises to 2

Saturday, March 24, 2012: The death toll from the explosion that occurred at the cracker unit in Kakoor yesterday has risen to two, with one more person succumbing to injuries.
The deceased have been identified as Sheeba and Priya, both hailing from Kozhikode. Sheeba was killed on the spot while Priya died today morning at the Kozhikode medical college hospital.
One more female employee, who sustain second degree burns, has been admitted to a nearby hospital. The officials who inspected the spot suspect that friction while handling chemicals could have led to the accident
