Genelia in 250 crore land scam!

A local court in Hyderabad on Friday has ordered the Saifabad police to register an FIR against leading actress Genelia and five others in connection with a scam of around Rs. 250 crore.
The court order came after one of the victims, Ch. Tirupataiah, filed a complaint alleging that Genelia, the brand ambassador and one of the board directors of Anjaniputra Infrastructure Private Limited, cheated him by faking false promises of constructing two duplex houses at Kalvakol village of Maheswaram mandal for which he paid Rs. 54 lakhs. He claimed that the company has sold a total of 500 plots.
The First Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) directed the cops to inquire into the issue and submit a report on or before March 27.
Meanwhile, Genelia’s spokesperson said: “Genelia does not endorse or sit on the board of directors of any real estate brand currently. Six years back, she had done a one-off campaign, a photo shoot, long before the project commenced. Beyond that, she has absolutely nothing to do with the said project or the company. This information is news to Genelia and there is absolutely no truth in the matter.”
