Higher Secondary teachers in Kerala on agitation path

Kottayam: Plus Two teachers in Kerala under the banner of Federation of Higher Secondary Teachers Associations (FHSTA) Friday threatened that they will boycott the examination and valuation work from April 2 if their demands were not conceded within this month. 


Announcing this, FHSTA President T Prasannakumar told reporters here that the teachers would observe a state-wide dharna and "hunger strike" on March 28 in front of the state secretariat pressing their charter of demands. 


Their demands include rectifying anomalies in the salary structure, hike in the reward for examination work and seniority to teachers who have completed five years service.
