Jagathy Sreekumar undergoes physiotherapy sessions


Saturday, March 24, 2012: Veteran film actor Jagathy Sreekumar, who is undergoing treatment for serious injuries suffered in a road accident on March 10, is presently undergoing regular physiotherapy sessions, doctors attending on him said.
A medical bulletin released by the Malabar Institute of Medical Sciences (MIMS) hospital said that Jagathy has regained his consciousness partially. ‘Jagathy’s general condition is satisfactory. There is steady improvement in his level of consciousness and recovery may take sometime’.
A team of expert doctors from Vellore medical college hospital would arrive at MIMS hospital next week to provide advanced treatment to actor Jagathy Sreekumar. Stating that physiotherapy had been started, it said Sreekumar was able to breath himself without ventilator support most of the time. “He will be kept on a very minimal ventilator support during night,” it said.
Sreekumar, who suffered serious multiple injuries when his car hit the road divider at nearby Tenhipalam in Malappuram district, had undergone various surgeries.
