THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: With the arrest of Anil Kumar alias Thakku, in a murder case in which a morning walker, Sivaprasad, was killed in 2010 at Varkala, there are four more accused left to be arrested in the case.
Anil Kumar, 44, of Venganoor, was arrested the other day from Konni in Pathanamthitta district and was handed over to the Varkala police.
There are 15 accused in the murder case occurred in September 2010. Among them 11 were nabbed by the police from various places.
Anil Kumar is the 15th accused in the case. “There are only four left to be arrested,” Varkala CI, S Shaji said.
All the accused are activists of Dalit Human Rights Movement (DHRM), a pro-dalit organisation. Police suspect that they carried out the murder in order to prove the strength of their organisation.
Anilkumar was arrested on Friday evening when he was about to attend a camp at a colony in Konni. He was remanded in police custody.
