Opposition stages walkout over cooperative ordinance
Thursday, March 8, 2012: CPI-M led LDF opposition members on Thursday staged a walkout in the Kerala assembly protesting against Congress-led UDF government’s action of dismissing governing bodies of State co operative banks and installing administrative governance over there.
CPI(M) leader Jaya Rajan alleged that the Government is trying to decline the Co operative sector.
In reply, Minister C N Balakrishnan told that the ordinanace aims to strengthen the cooperative sector.
