Pension age: DYFI Assembly march turns violent


Monday, March 21, 2012: The Kerala Assembly march took out by Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) activists as a protest against the government move to raise the retirement age to 56, turned violent on Wednesday.
Soon after the protest march, the agitators tried to barge into the Assembly premise who were blockaded by the police. This led to a scuffle between the police and the activists. The police used water canons and tear gases to disperse the activists.
