Plea against Achuthanandan over unruly remarks

Wednesday, March 14, 2012: A petition has been filed against Opposition leader and CPM stalwart VS Achuthanandan in the Aluva first class Court demanding action for his controversial remarks against former CPM leader Sindhu Joy, whom he equated to that of a “woman of loose character”.
The petition has been moved by Advocate Polachan Puthanpara. Kicking up yet another row with a controversial remark, Achuthanandan said that former CPM leader ‘Sindhu Joy’s fate in the Congress is similar to that of an over exploited-then-discarded harlot’.
Opposition Leader alleged that Sindhu Joy was used by the UDF during the Parliament polls. “Now, where is that Sindhu Joy whom the UDF bought? In the same way, Selvaraj has also been bought by the UDF,” he said.
