Pvt bus owners to go on strike in Kannur on Tuesday

Monday, March 05, 2012: Private bus operators in Kannur district will go on a one-day strike on Tuesday in protest against the incident in which two private buses were set ablaze by some unknown miscreants near Mayyil on Monday morning.
The buses were completely gutted when miscreants set fire on the vehicles being parked at a workshop in the wee hours today. No one has been taken into custody in connection with this incident. The Mayyil police have begun investigation.
The fire force personnel immediately reached the spot and doused the fire by around 2.00 am. The buses were examined by a team of forensic experts.
