Rain occurred at isolated places in Kerala


 Saturday, March 3, 2012: According to meteorology sources here, rain occurred at isolated places in Kerala. Dry weather prevailed over Lakshadweep. Kollam reported a rainfall of 2cm and Kanjirappally (Kottayam district) 1cm.
Maximum temperature rose in Kozhikode district and changed little in the remaining districts. Minimum temperature fell in Kannur district, rose appreciably in Alappuzha district, rose in Kozhikode district and changed little in the remaining districts.
It was below normal in Kannur district, appreciably above normal in Thiruvananthapuram district, above normal in Ernakulam district and changed little in the remaining districts. Punalur recorded the highest maximum temperature of 360C and Kannur recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 21 degree Celsius.
Rain/thundershower will occur at isolated places in south Kerala. Mainly dry weather will prevail over north Kerala and Lakshadweep.
Partly cloudy sky with a spell of shower/thundershower. No significant change is expected in maximum and minimum temperatures which will be around 340C & 250C respectively.
