Selvaraj’s resignation ‘unfortunate’, says Yechury

Sunday, March 11, 2012: CPM Polit Bureau member Sitaram Yechury termed the resignation of CPM MLA Selvaraj as ‘unfortunate’.
Selvaraj, who represented Neyyattinkara assembly segment in Thiruvananthapuram district, had resigned from the House on Friday saying that he was a victim of ‘factionalism’ in the party.
He said that he was “forced” to take the decision after realising that he would not get “any justice or protection” from the party leadership.
