ALAPPUZHA: The contents against opposition leader V S Achuthanandan in the resolution prepared by the CPM state secretariat will not be rejected. The decision was taken at the available politburo convened amidst the state meet.
The politburo had assured to discuss the complaints voiced by VS with the central committee. The central leaders have also decided to communicate with VS on this issue. The meet convened by party general secretary Prakash Karat was attended by S Ramachandran Pillai, Sitaram Yechuri, Brinda Karat, Pinarayi Vijayan, Kodiyeri Balakrishnan and M A Baby.
Though Yechury demanded to remove the contents from the resolution, the others were against it. If it is rejected, one would think the party has surrendered before VS. This would badly affect the party, many including Pinarayi Vijayan said. Karat too agreed to the stand taken by the state leadership.
