Pranav to be in front of the camera soon

Actor Mohanlal’s son Pranav Mohanlal will soon shift his position from behind the camera to its front, according to reports. Pranav who is currently assisting director Jeethu Jospeh on his ‘Life Of Josekutty’ project may turn the hero in a new film shortly.

He would make his debut in IDI (Inspector Dawood Ibrahim) to be directed by Sajid Yahiya. This will be his first direction though he had acted in Friday, Theevram, Sakariayude Garbhinikal and Bangalore Days. Sources say Pranab who has wished to keep off the acting profession was so tempted by the character that he didn’t want to miss it.

Dawood Ibrahim is a name that a police officer would find hard to digest. The plot revolves around this thread with interesting twists and action scenes, says the director, who will also double up as its scenarist.

Pranav had made his entry into films as a child actor in Onnaman (2002), directed by Thampi Kannanthanam. In the same year he won the State award for the best child artiste in Major Ravi film Punarjani.
