Govt not against vigilance court monitoring bar case

KOCHI: The state government Monday informed the Kerala High Court that they are not against vigilance court monitoring the investigation in the bar bribery case against Finance Minister K M Mani.

The vigilance informed their stand for the government on the plea of Biju Ramesh, bar association working president. So far the statement of 25 witnesses have been recorded, vigilance informed the court.  

The plea was filed asserting that many including K M Mani are taking efforts to sabotage the investigation and pressure is forced on main witnesses for not giving statements. The court will consider the case on March 4.
