CPM’s organisational report slams VS

ALAPPUZHA: The organisational report of CPM has made a scathing attack against Central Committee member V S Achuthanandan.

The main criticism is that the veteran leader had tried to trap Pinarayi Vijayan in SNC-Lavalin bribery case. This has been backed by P Karunakaran report that endorses this criticism.

VS’ former private secretary Ranjendran had also given a statement against VS before the commission. In the report, about 31 pages contain only criticisms against VS.

“In the cases such as Lavalin, Koodankulam and T P murder case, VS had taken an anti-party stand. The stand taken by him in the Lavelin case that Pinarayi is an accused in the case is a total breach of party discipline as he had bypassed party’s opinion. Later VS himself confessed to his mistakes, following the party publically warning him. After a lull, he has again come out to violate party discipline. When the party persistently maintained the stand that it had no role in the TP murder case, VS took an opposite view, “ says the report which also lists down the past instances when VS had breached party discipline.

The report also criticises politburo member M A Baby for not attending the Assembly after he lost in the Kollam Lok Sabha seat.
