KOTTARAKKARA: A man and his lover who started to tussle in the middle of the road on Wednesday was picked up by the police and later let off with their relatives, but not without charging petty case against them.
The incident happened in the morning at Chanthamukku in Kottarakkara. The quarrel broke out between the 22-yr-old woman from Patthadi, Avanoor and the 32-yr-old man from Perumkulam. The man, a coconut climber, is already married and a father of two children.
It was mobile calls that brought the duo closer. Subsequently, he even thought of ditching his wife for the sake of his sweetheart. The twist in the story happened when one day he found her mobile phone continuously returning busy tone. This made him suspicious of her loyalty.
The brawl that ensued was a result of this. It was the onlookers who had informed the police about the incident.
