ALUVA: The body of a middle-aged woman with a deep wound on her leg and blood stains all over her nose was found in Periyar on Thursday. There is also an injury at the back of the head. The injuries didn’t appear to have happened long before. The police’ primary assessment is that some mystery shrouds the death of the woman.
The body was spotted in the morning at around 7. It was seen stuck in the middle pillar of the temporary bridge extending from Kottarakkadavu to Manappuram. It was the pedestrians who were going towards Manappuram who noticed the body and informed the police. The woman appeared to be of 50 years of age. She was wearing a red Churidar, black shawl and black pants. Her complexion was fare. The body has been shifted to Aluva district hospital.
