Kerala reaches second place in national games

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala reached the second place after pushing Haryana in the medals tally at the 35th national games.  Kerala has a total of 30 gold medals now. Mahitha Mohan clinched gold in women’s cycling point race category. This is Mahitha’s third gold in the meet. Parvathy and Bismi bagged silver and bronze in the same category.

Kerala attained two gold medals in cycling pursuit team and women’s kayaking team at the national games held in the morning. A team of Mahitha Mohan, V Rajani, Lidiya and Parvathy bagged gold in women’s cycling pursuit. This is the fourth gold obtained for cycling. Kerala’s Lidiya bagged bronze in cycling sprint.

Services is in the first place with 68 gold medals and Haryana is just behind with 30 gold medals.
