ALAPPUZHA: The name of opposition leader V S Achuthanandan, who boycotted the state meet after locking horns with the state leadership, has been removed from the state committee. His name has been excluded from the panel decided by the state secretariat Monday morning. However, the party central leadership is pressuring to include his name and only if they toughen their stand something positive can happen. Maintaining it, a post has been kept vacant in the 87-member state panel for VS.
There are 15 new faces in the panel. N N Krishnadas has been returned back to the panel. Kollayil Sudevan, Susan Kodi, Kottayam district secretary V N Vasavan, P Nandakumar, V Sivankutty, M B Rajesh, Puthalath Dinesan, Pathanamthitta district secretary K P Udayabhanu, Kozhikode district secretary P Mohanan, N V Balakrishnan, M Swaraj, A Sajeevan, Alappuzha district secretary Saji Cherian, Dr V Sivadasan are the new faces.
