Bar case: Verdict on petition seeking further probe on Oct 29

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Thiruvananthapuran Vigilance court will give the verdict on petitions seeking further probe into the bar case, on October 29.

Petitions were put aside for pronouncing the verdict after the completion of arguments by the Prosecution and petitioners. Ten petitions filed by persons including LDF convenor Vaikom Viswan, and Aam Admi Party leader Sara Joseph are under the consideration of the court.

The Vigilance director had earlier submitted the factual report that there was no proper evidence to file a case against Finance Minister K M Mani. But, the petitioners demanded that the report be rejected and further probe be initiated.

Meanwhile, the prosecution argued that the Vigilance’ report was not final.
