Chandy’s silence against communalism a disgrace, says Pinarayi

KANNUR: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy’s silence against communalism is a disgrace, said politburo member Pinarayi Vijayan. Talking at the meet the press programme at the Kannur Press Club, he said the people are anxious on it.

Pinarayi said, Oommen Chandy is the chief minister of Kerala. In a situation to protect secularism, it is natural to criticize him when he is keeping mum. The response from the literary world is a good sign.

Pinarayi said the congress had earlier joined hands with the RSS and the BJP to topple V P Singh’s people’s government. The congress misled that the VP Singh Government committed a great sin. The congress through emergency gave chances for the BJP and the RSS to grow communalism.

Pinarayi sought reinvestigation on the new revelations in connection with the death of Swamy Saswathikananda. The government has to take a decision on it and they should decide to which agency the case should be handed over, he said.
