VARKALA: A policeman of Ayiroor police station who was on duty died in an accident at Mathura. He has been identified as Izudeen alias Dilshad (42), son of Muhammed Ali of Nedumangad. Dilshad left for Mathura along with Jayaraj and driver Ajeesh Tuesday evening for an investigation. The other two did not sustain any injuries.
The body will be brought only after conducting post mortem there. A woman identified as Sanghamitra staying near the police station was in love with a man having two children. She eloped with the man to Chennai four days back. The woman’s husband is in the Gulf. The police left for Mathura for the investigation after a missing complaint was lodged. The accident happened after the car in which they were travelling skidded while giving side to a lorry. Dilshad sustained serious injuries.
