RSS’ attempt has been to sabotage reservation: Pinarayi

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM Politburo member Pinarayi Vijayan has said RSS’ latest statement is part of the calculated move to sabotage reservation system in India.

“The organisation’s recommendation to the Central government to re-examine the reservation system in the country shows its anti-reservation policy. The RSS has been spreading the false information that in government services, the backward class has got jobs undeservedly. But even 25 years after the 27 per cent reservation came into effect according to Mandal Commission Report, the OBC represents 17.74 percent, SC 17.57 percent and ST 7.73. RSS has not favoured reservation at any point of time. It was they who ignited and stoked anti-mandal agitations,” Pinarayi wrote on his Facebook page

Taking a cue from backward-Dalit classes, SNDP yogam leadership and a group from KPMS are trying to take people to RSS tent. BJDS itself was formed for that purpose. They have degraded themselves to the perpetrators of RSS agenda, Pinarayi has said.
