VS seeks quick verification against revenue minister

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan has written to Vigilance Director seeking Quick verification report against Revenue Minister Adoor Prakash, who has allegedly perpetrated corruption by handing over wet lands to reports under the cover of Zero landless (citizens) Project 2015.

VS has also expressed his willingness to present evidence in this regard, if it is necessary.

“When the lands in Alappuzha are worth lakhs of rupees, the lands in Sholayar the land is available for a fair price of Rs 500 per cent. In that case government’s move to hand over One acre 60 cent land in Alappuzha worth crores of rupees as quid pro quo arrangement for receiving lands in Palakkad Sholayar is part of high level corruption. This pertains to last phase of Oommen Chandy’s corruption before he quits office. We would like to know KPCC president V M Sudheeran’s response in this regard. The UDF is doing research on corruption in new areas,” he wrote.
