Congress denies Kerala Congress' demand for more seats

TIRUVANANTHAPURAM: No consensus was reached in the seat sharing talks between the Congress and the Kerala Congress (M) that was held on Thursday. The Congress informed the other party that it would not be able to part with three more seats.

Meanwhile, Congress made it clear that it would not give up Angamali seat to Kerala Congress Jacob group. Thus that talks also failed with Jacob group leader John Nellore expressing his dissatisfaction over seat sharing talks. But Minister Anoop Jacob said the talks would continue on Friday.

An agreement has been reached on giving Kunnamkulam seat to CMP. CP John said, in the coming days, the UDF leadership would discuss the above matter. The party would also stake its claim for other two seats, the decision on which will be taken on March 15. The consensus is yet to reach in Congress-JDU talks, as well.
