VARKALA: A severely injured engineering student who was undergoing treatment in KIMS hospital after having met with an accident caused by collision of bikes in Varkala has died.
The student has been identified as Muhammed Faris (25) from Vilabbagam Kochuvila house and the death happened at 10:30 pm on Thursday. The accident happened in the day at around 7:15 pm at Varkala Maidan underpass road.
Shibu (18), a Plus Two student and son of former councillor R Sheila and late Babu’s son, who was residing in Cherukunnam Leela Bhavan, had died on the spot.
Muhammed Faris, who was severely injured in the accident was first given the first aid in a private hospital in Varkala and later shifted to KIMS hospital. But, he succumbed to his injuries at 10:30 pm.
He is survived by his father Muhammed Famin Umer , Mother Sabeela Famy and siblings Firoz and Faiz.
