In Irikkur, Aby N Joseph to be pitted against K C Joseph

SREEKANDAPURAM: In Irikkur, when K C Joseph is all set to contest the poll, a group in the Youth Congress has taken to the streets, creating fresh troubles for the Congress. The protesters are hell bent on ensuring a seat for a youth leader in Irikkur. Today morning posters against K C started appearing in Alakkode constituency. The posters had reference against Sajeev Joseph, as well.

Meanwhile, LDF is getting ready to make artist Aby N Jospeh its candidate. The party believes that Aby, a cancer survivor and a prominent figure in the cultural scene, would be an ideal opponent for Joseph. There are also reported moves to make Aby an independent candidate and CPM leaders have held discussions with him.

In the Navakerala march conducted by Pinarayi Vijayan Aby was given the charge of Sreekantapuram. He also played a major role in developing Kalagramam in the constituency.

A group in the Youth Congress came out with protests in the form of road blockades and poster after the KPCC didn’t take the former’s resentment at face value. This has come as a double whammy for Congress as their tiff with the Muslim League is going on on the other hand. With this, Joseph’s candidature has become a thing of uncertainty.

Five flex boards against K C Joseph had appeared against Joseph. All those posters were in the name of Irikkur constituency KSU-youth Congress committee.
