KOZHIKODE: Actor Siddique has said he has not received any official intimation from the Congress regarding his candidature in the Assembly election. “Actually, I had come to know about my chance for contesting the election from what was speculated by the media,” he was responding to the reports that he would be contesting the Assembly election,”.
“From the Congress leadership, I have not received any official communique asking me to contest the Assembly election. I came to know it through the media. If I’m chosen as a candidate, I myself will call up to inform media persons,” Siddique said.
However, in the first probables list prepared by the Congress, Siddique’s name was there.
